HOW DO I GET TO ASCEND AMPHITHEATER?
From the North: Take I-65 S toward Nashville. Keep left at the fork to continue on I-24 E, follow signs for Interstate 24/Interstate 40 E/Chattanooga/Knoxville. Take exit 49 for Shelby Ave. and turn left onto Shelby Ave. Continue onto Korean Veterans Blvd. Turn right onto 1st Ave. S. Venue will be on the right.
From the South: Take I-65 N toward Nashville. Take exit 82B to merge onto I-40 E toward Knoxville. Stay right and immediately take exit 210C for U.S. 31 A S/4th Ave. S toward U.S. 41 A S/2nd Ave. S. Turn left onto 2nd Ave. S. Turn right onto Molloy St. Venue will be across 1st Ave. S.
From the East: Take I-40 W toward Nashville. Take exit 212 toward Hermitage Ave. Continue onto Decatur Ave. Turn left onto Hermitage Ave. Continue onto 1st Ave. S. Venue will be on the right.
From the West: Take I-40 E toward Nashville. Take exit 209B toward US-70S/US-431/Broadway/Demonbreun St. Merge onto 14th Ave. N and stay left to turn left onto Broadway. Turn right onto 8th Ave. S. Turn left onto Demonbreun St. Turn right onto 1st Ave. S. Venue will be on the left.
WHERE SHOULD I ENTER THE VENUE?
Guests with tickets should enter via Gate 1, located at the northwest corner of the venue, next to the box office. There is a secondary entrance on the corner of 1st Ave and Korean Veterans Blvd., in the southwest corner of the venue that guests with tickets may also enter through. The VIP Entrance is located left of the box office.
WHAT TIME DO GATES OPEN?
Gate times vary but are usually an hour and a half to two hours prior to showtime. Please check the specific event page as these times are subject to change. Please do not attempt to enter the venue any earlier than the designated times, you will not be allowed in.
DO YOU OFFER EXPRESS PASSES?
For certain events, Express Entry upgrades may be available for an additional charge. Skip the lines and be among the first in! Head to the Express Entry gate located to the right of the main ticket gates on 1st Avenue. Access is available all evening, but arrive 25 minutes before the gate opens to ensure early entry.
This gate entrance is located at gate two, south of the main gate going up First Ave South and Korean Veterans Blvd, you will see Express Entry signage where you can begin to line up.

HOW IS TRAFFIC CONTROL AROUND ASCEND AMPHITHEATER?
Traffic around Ascend Amphitheater is controlled by city traffic management. Please monitor traffic surrounding the area and plan accordingly when coming to the venue.
WHAT IS YOUR BAG POLICY?
Our bag policy is as follows: we will allow clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC tote bags no larger than 12”x 6”x 12” and/or small clutch bags (6”x 9”). If your bag is 6”x 9” or smaller it does not need to be a clear bag. No other bags of any type will be allowed. All bags are subject to search upon entry. Guests have the right to refuse a bag search and the venue has the right to refuse entry. If you have any items that are not allowed into the venue please return them to your vehicle.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
Ascend Amphitheater does not have its own parking lot. However, there are many public parking options in and around downtown via Metropolis.
IS THERE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION?
The Nashville MTA offers direct bus service that connects to Ascend Amphitheater. For more information on MTA bus lines, visit www.nashvillemta.org or call (615) 862-5950 for convenient stations near Ascend Amphitheater.
ONCE YOU'RE HERE
WHERE CAN I FIND A RESTROOM?
Restroom buildings are located on all sides of the venue seating area as well as at the back of the lawn. Accessible restrooms are located in all locations as well. There are family bathrooms located through the venue too.
DO YOU HAVE A LOST AND FOUND?
If you lose an item while you are at an event- you can visit our Guest Services tent located just inside the main gate to see if it has been turned in. If you need further assistance, contact us here.
IS MERCHANDISE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE IN THE VENUE?
Merchandise will be available for concerts at our merchandise area located on the west side of the venue in the plaza near the concession stand, by the secondary entrance near the corner of 1st Ave South and Korean Veterans Blvd. All merchandise is property of the artist and the venue has no responsibility related to the craftsmanship or style of any merchandise. Please make sure you check that you have the correct size and there are no defects in the shirt before you walk away from the stand. The venue cannot assist with replacing or refunding any merchandise after the event has ended.
ARE CONCESSIONS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT ASCEND?
Ascend Amphitheater offers a wide variety of concession options through the venue. Concessions are located on each side of the seating areas as well as at the back of the lawn.
WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING ALCOHOL?
Ascend Amphitheater offers a wide variety of alcoholic beverages for purchase during your time at the venue. You are not permitted to bring any alcoholic beverages into the venue. A valid and current Driver License or State ID card is required to purchase alcohol- guests will be required to show ID every time they purchase.
WHAT CREDIT CARDS DO YOU ACCEPT?
All main concession stands take Visa / MasterCard / Discover and American Express. All merchandise stands take all major credit cards. We are a cashless venue.
HOW DOES LAWN SEATING WORK?
The lawn is always first come, first serve. There are no assigned seats on the lawn.
ARE LAWN CHAIRS AVAILABLE TO RENT AT ASCEND?
We do not allow outside lawn chairs of any kind inside the venue. However, lawn chairs are available to rent for most shows and must be returned at the end of the event.
Reserve your lawn chairs ahead of time for the best deal! Day-of rentals are available while supplies last.
ARE THERE BABY CHANGING STATIONS?
Baby Changing Stations are located within the men, women, and family restrooms around the venue.
IS RE-ENTRY ALLOWED?
Re-entry is not permitted at Ascend Amphitheater. Please ensure that everything you will need for the event is brought in with you. If you do leave at any point in the evening- you will not be allowed back in without a new ticket.
SAFETY & SECURITY
HOW IS THE SECURITY ON SITE?
Venue security and law enforcement are located throughout the facility to ensure a safe and secure environment. All security personnel can assist with any questions or concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact our on-site staff if any assistance is needed. Your safety and security are most important to us.
WHAT SECURITY PROCEDURES SHOULD I EXPECT?
When coming through the gates, please plan on security using metal detectors and/or a physical pat-down for our search procedures. All bags are subject to inspection. If you have a medical reason for not wanting to be searched via metal detectors, please inform one of our security gate staff members so they can offer you an alternative search method to our metal detectors.
Also, please check our bag policy before coming to the venue, to make sure your bag fits our policy guidelines.
IS THERE LAW ENFORCEMENT ON SITE?
Local law enforcement are on site for every event and are responsible for directing all traffic into the venue. On Duty law enforcement officers are the only individuals able to carry a weapon on our property. We do not allow conceal and carry weapons to be brought onto our property nor we will secure them.
WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING GUEST CONDUCT?
Guests are expected to behave respectfully and in accordance with venue policy, state and local laws. Any guest that is acting in a manner that venue management deems unsafe can be subject to eviction. If a guest violates a state or local law they will be subject to any tickets or punishment deemed necessary by local law enforcement. Ascend Amphitheater reserves the right to deny entry to any guest for any reason or no reason. If a guest is denied entry to any event, such guest will be issued a refund of the face value of the ticket for the event.
GENERAL INFORMATION
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WEATHER OCCURS?
All shows will go on rain or shine. However, in the event of severe weather we will keep our fans notified via our venue socials.
An event may be delayed, postponed, or canceled depending on the severity of the weather expected.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY?
In the event of an emergency while on site, Ascend Amphitheater has trained paramedics to assist with any medical issues. First aid is located on the west side of the venue near the restrooms and Gate 3, but any staff member with a radio can dispatch First Aid to the location needed. Local law enforcement officers are also on-site for every event and can assist if needed or requested.
Venue management works closely with all appropriate emergency agencies and services to ensure that we are up to date on any dangerous weather or potential crowd-related issues. In the event of a weather emergency- we will communicate with guests that are inside of the facility as well as guests on their way to the venue. Please follow our social media pages for the latest developments on event day communication.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A SHOW CANCELS?
Cancellations will only occur in the event of severe weather, artist cancellation, or an act of God. In the event of a cancellation ticket holders will receive an email from about a potential reschedule that will be made available. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
ARE ANIMALS ALLOWED IN THE VENUE?
Service animals (as defined by ADA standards) are permitted inside the venue during events. Only registered working animals are permitted.
WHERE SHOULD I GO IF I NEED ASSISTANCE?
If you need assistance while at an event, please visit our Guest Services tent located just inside the entry of the main gate.
WHAT DO I DO IN THE EVENT OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY?
First Aid is located on the west side of the venue near the restrooms and Gate 3. We have trained medical personnel that are able to assist with any issue you encounter. We have ambulances on site throughout the duration of the event that can transport guests if needed. If you have a condition that requires you to use a needle for medication while you are here, please do so in our medical office so the syringe can be properly disposed of.
CAN I CAMP AT ASCEND AMPHITHEATER?
The venue does not allow camping or overnight parking of any kind.
CAN I BRING MY KID WITH ME TO A SHOW ASCEND AMPHITHEATER?
All of our events are all ages unless stated otherwise. Children 2 and under do not require a ticket, but must sit on a parent's lap.
CAN I HOST A PRIVATE EVENT AT ASCEND AMPHITHEATER?
Our incredible space is the perfect location to host your next corporate event, private concert, conference, fundraiser, or graduation. With custom packages, soaring Nashville skyline views, and expert staff, we’ll ensure your event is electric.
RESTRICTIONS & PROHIBITIONS
WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING BANNERS AND SIGNS?
Signs larger than 8.5 X 11 in are not permitted into the venue. This size is a standard sheet of paper. We do not allow in banners or signs that are larger than this due to the potential to block other guests view of the performance. All signs must be appropriate in nature and not be a distraction to the artist.
WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES FOR MASKS AND FACE PAINT?
Masks covering the face are NOT allowed while entering the venue or purchasing items at concessions. Any face coverings must be removable upon request. Face paint is allowed, but it should NOT be gory, inappropriate, or alter your face to the point of unrecognition. Your face must be able to be matched to your ID at concessions if you intend to purchase alcohol. You cannot bring face paint into the venue.
WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING CAMERAS?
SUBJECT TO CHANGE: The standard venue policy allows camera phones, disposable cameras, and small digital cameras. Any camera that has a detachable lens will be considered professional and not allowed in. If the camera lens zooms out of the camera more than 1 inch it will be considered a professional camera and will not be allowed in. No 35mm professional film cameras are allowed. Some artists do not permit cameras so please check back for the show you will be attending to ensure that we will be allowing cameras in.
WHAT ARE YOUR CELL PHONE POLICIES?
Generally, cell phones are permitted in the venue. On occasion, comedy shows in particular, cell phone usage may not be allowed due to artist requests.
WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES ON AUDIO TAPING?
Some shows do allow audio recording so please contact us prior to the event you are attending to confirm if this will be allowed.
WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES INVOLVING WEAPONS?
Ascend Amphitheater does not allow weapons of any kind in the venue. No patron will be allowed to enter the venue with a weapon. The venue will not secure weapons and will not take responsibility for any weapons left in vehicles.
IS SMOKING PERMITTED AT ASCEND AMPHITHEATER?
Ascend Amphitheater is a NON-SMOKING facility. Our designated smoking area is located at the back of the lawn past the lawn chair rental tent. Violation of smoking policy will result in ejection without refund.
WHAT ITEMS DO YOU ALLOW IN ASCEND AMPHITHEATER?
Varies by show. Please check the Day of Show Information tab for updates pertaining to a specific show, as all permitted items are subject to change at the tour's request.
We allow:
- Bags: We have implemented the following bag policy: we will allow clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and/or small clutch bags (6”x 9”) that do not need to be clear. No other bags of any type will be allowed.
- Small Blankets/Beach towels (no larger than 3'x5')
- Breast Pumps
- Fans/neck fans
- Stadium cushions - must be backless and legless
- Cameras – nonprofessional only, no detachable lenses
- Food – in a clear plastic container or 1-gallon ziplock bag.
- Water – 1 factory sealed plastic bottle of water, non-frozen, up to 1 gallon or empty non-glass water bottle up to 1 gallon.

We do NOT allow:

- Alcohol, other beverages and camelbacks except sealed water
- Aerosol Cans: sunscreen, bug spray, dry shampoo, etc.

- Strollers
- Car seats
- Picnic baskets
- Glass containers
- Glass bottles
- Cans (any outside beverages that isn't water)
- All coolers
- Laser pointers
- Pen lights or pointer lights

ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED IN THE VENUE?
Strollers are not permitted due to there being nowhere for them to be stored. The lawn has an incline that makes it unsafe for strollers to be on the lawn and they tend to also become a tripping hazard to other guests.
ARE UMBRELLAS PERMITTED?
Umbrellas are never permitted in the venue.
CAN I BRING WATER IN?
Water fountains are located near all restroom locations. Water refill stations can be found near restrooms on the east and west side of the venue.
Guests are permitted to bring in One (1) factory-sealed bottle of water up to one gallon in size per person. Empty Aluminum bottles, refillable plastic water bottles are permitted. Camelbacks and glass bottles are not permitted. This policy is subject to change based on artist requests or safety considerations.
